How It Works

Simple explanation of the estimation model

Inputs

You provide profile inputs (sex, age, height, weight, resting heart rate, max heart rate) and activity inputs (time, heart rate, distance). You can tune the model curves directly on the charts.

What Is Estimated

From your inputs and curve settings, the tool estimates speed, duration or distance consistency, hourly energy expenditure, total energy expenditure, and approximate substrate split.

Heart-Rate Zones

Heart-rate zones are visualized as relative intensity ranges based on your max heart rate. These zones are intended for exploration and do not replace individual laboratory testing.

Energy Expenditure

Energy expenditure is estimated with generalized equations and adjusted through the energy polar. The output is shown as kcal per hour and total kcal for the simulated session.

Fat vs Carbohydrate Utilization

The fat versus carbohydrate split is an approximation derived from the metabolic polar. It visualizes a modeled trend with increasing intensity, not a direct biochemical measurement.

Why Results Are Estimates

Human physiology varies across individuals, conditions, and measurement methods. For that reason, Body Burner provides informational estimates only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
